CRYOTHERAPY

HISTORICAL

For over 30 years, our neighbors in Eastern and Northern Europe have used this technique to benefit from the cold in complete safety.

WHAT IS CRYOTHERAPY ?

The W.B.C (Whole body cryotherapy) is a body immersion therapy in the dry cold at very low temperatures (between -110 ° C and -170 ° C) for a period between 1min30 and 3 min.

Local cryotherapy involves safely exposing a specific place in the human body to cold, pulsed air at temperatures as low as -150 ° C. The treatment time varies between 1mn and 30mn depending on the area of application and the desired effect.

Thermal shock is the basis of the clinical effects of cryotherapy.

It stimulates the human body so as to trigger reflexes to fight the extreme cold.

There follows a series of physiological reactions in cascade with the main consequences:

  • Acceleration of tissue repair

  • Improvement of blood flow

  • Hormonal reaction

  • Stimulation of collagen
